Mrs. Cicely “Cici” Betts is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas.
Cici graduated from the HBCU Dillard University in New Orleans, LA in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. She then went on to earn her Master of Social Work degree from the prestigious University of Houston in 2012.
Cici has extensive experience with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and she is also an EMDR-trained clinician. Her formal experience has given her the opportunity to work with individuals, families, and groups.She works with all ages, however the bulk of her experience to date has been with the adolescent population.
She enjoys working with her clients to identify and attain their goals, insisting that the client is the expert of their lives. She believes we all deserve to live our best lives and she works diligently with her clients to assist them in the positive change they want.
Cici’s communication style is assertive; encompassing honesty, candor, and A LOT of wit. She also enjoys helping her clients strengthen their interpersonal relationships. She thoroughly enjoys the gift of being able to work in a field that allows her to help others realize we all have the power within us to have the life we want and deserve!
Cicely enjoys a healthy work/life balance which has afforded her the opportunity to explore her creative side. She loves spending time with her family and friends AND she enjoys her solitude as well. Yes you CAN do both! Her current creative interests lie in the magic a Cricut machine brings, writing poetry, and designing tools to aid herself and others in making work projects more succinct.
