Your journey for mental and emotional wellness starts with taking the first steps. If you are reading this, then you have already taken those steps, and I would like to talk with you about it.
I am a licensed and board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who can provide a wide range of treatment options for psychiatric conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and more. Whatever you are going through, I want you to know that there is hope. I see patients from adolescence to older adulthood at Solace Psychiatry Clinic at Riverstone in Missouri City, TX, and I am currently accepting new patients.
After my first career in finance left me desiring to do more to help others, I decided to become a nurse. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in 2013. I spent the first several years of my nursing career working in the emergency department and intensive care unit. I was able to see first-hand the importance of mental health and wellness in the acutely or critically ill or those in a crisis.
I received my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018 and became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Already understanding the importance of mental health care, I realized the growing need for mental health care providers while in my FNP program. Thus, I decided to further my education and went on to graduate from the UTHealth in 2020 with my PMHNP certificate.
During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, I traveled around the country and provided emergency and critical nursing care at hospitals overcapacity to ensure patients had the care they needed. I witnessed the toll the pandemic took on so many lives and knew I had made the right decision. We need mental health care now more than ever, and I am here to provide that for you.
